I was out in the woods by my house playing with Freya when I picked up this little piece of schist/shale (I think it's Precambrian Schist). Decided to take it inside and mess around with it. This is what came out of it, done in colored pencil.

Just thought I would share a bit of random creativity ^.^

EDIT: Okay, I decided to go ahead and frame this little guy and put it up for bid to see what happens. It came out so pretty! And you can see the actual colors and such a lot better in the picture (my scanner is ass). It fit nicely into a 4" X 6" Frame. I also added gold to the eyes so they shine as well :)

Oooo. That's really interesting. :nod: I never would've thought of using colour pencils on rocks. :P That's really neat. :D I love the outcome. It's really pretty and beautifully detailed for something as small as it is. :)
