I know I have other work to do right now, but Chipmunk (the totem) has been coming around and pestering me for a few days now, and yesterday was -insistent- that I draw him. So I did this little ACEO just for Chipmunk.
Chipmunk medicine teaches about many things, including independence, curiosity, fearlessness, observation, self discovery, and playfulness. Chipmunks are also the most obnoxious, adorable rodents -ever-. Watercolor and colored pencil on 2.5" X 3.5" Bristol. Edit: Oh yeah, the little things attached to his head are insect wings. I figured a little shaman like that would adorn himself with insect wings instead of feathers, though he could have had really small feathers. Insect wings just felt more...right. Edit, Edit: Just a side note that his paw is clenched, the long fingers curled up. It seemed appropriate as that is what these little guys do sometimes when checking things out. |
