She is the Lady of Twilight, a magical time between day and night when the world prepares to sleep, and awaken. The day birds roost in her crown for protection during the long night. Her attendants are various wild sprites and evening creatures, and her barn owl familiar on her fist acts as her eyes into the other realms.
Watercolor, colored pencil, and acrylics on 11 X 14 Bristol paper. Original is adorned with glitter paint, iridescent interference paint, and swarovski crystal rhinestones. Prints are available on my website at [link]

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. Reguardless,this is quite lovely. The only thing I can even think to say is that the nose looks a tiny bit strange... but I think that's more due to the contrast of that mask against such a delicate part of the face rather than an issue with the drawing itself. Y'know?
