“Beautiful.” She whispered, her eyes roving him over as her fingers wove through his dark fur, smoothing over his features, stroking his whiskers and muzzle softly.

No one ever before had touched his wolven self in this manner. Not even Alessia had treated him with such tenderness. She had only ever shown him her passion. But this gentle caress of Autumn’s hand and the open, curious, and soft expression in her eyes as she explored his wolven features was like nothing he had known in his life as a wolf. His wolven face had only ever seen the terror of his victims and rarely the passion of a she-wolf. Never this. Not since he was a little boy over a hundred years ago had he known this tenderness, this affection, this…love…and from a human woman who knew what he was, a dark predator, a beast. And yet here she was, touching this beast without fear, but with fascination, gentleness, and even compassion.

“You are beautiful, Kain, in any form.” She said softly, stroking his furred cheeks with gentle fingers.
