My attempt at an athro version of smilodon fatalis, aka the "sabertooth tiger". Inspired after reading "Fatalis" by Jeff Rovin. Ah, nothing like great prehistoric mammal horror.

Watercolor and colored pencil on 9 X 12 Bristol. And yep, you guessed it, the original is for sale. Offering it at $300. E-mail me if you are interested.

Absolutely exquisite! The tribalistic tattoos are gorgeous, and the Smilodon itself kicks righteous ass. Your anthros are among the best to be seen on dA! :)

*raises hand tenitively* just so everyone knows, sabertooths ARENT tigers auctaully, their not really related to tigers other than just being related to the cat family. Sabretooths belonged to a different branch of the cat group, so wernt directly related to lions, or tigers, othan than just being in the large cat family. So Sabretooth cat is the correct term.

No offence Goldy, and I LOVE this and I think you did an awesomely killer job on it. I just had to be a geek on prehistoric mammel knowledge..as I usually am...
