Red Wolf for the Endangered Ark Card Deck, coming out soon! [link]

I tried to get this as close-looking to a red wolf as I could given the utter lack of really good reference out there on these guys. To me they look very coyote-ish, a mix between wolf and coyote, but your mileage may vary. Either way he's very cute, and all full of character. I had an amazing amount of fun painting him ^.^

Acrylic painting on 5" X 7" Clay Board.

Heh! I just did a Red Wolf fursuit head and you are right! They are incredibly hard to find for pic references- but good ole google pulled through. Beautiful art as usual. I cannot even ever come up with words to do it justice :3

Well, IIRC, it's been shown through gene testing that coyotes are actually sort of a mix of red wolf and grey wolf, so go figure.
